Anyhow, I got to go. While I am glad to get out of the neighborhood I will sure miss some of the people. I made some great friends, I loved the apartment but that’s military life I guess.
I bought one of those websticks, so I have mobile internet while I am at my parents and I can keep ya’ll updated on whats going on.
Hope you all have a great weekend. It’s been years that I have lived with my parents, I even get to sleep in my old room and have the full upstairs apartment to myself and for my husband. It’s much better than staying in a hotel and being bored the whole time plus the dogs and I will be re-united again. I missed them so much. They’ve been staying with my parents for almost two weeks now.

Maybe you can do something good with your stuff? I think in every city there is some sort of social service picking up things for free that are too good to be thrown away and then they resell them for alsmost nothing in their store, where they employ long-term-unemployed people. Give it a try if it's still possible 🙂

it's definitely too late for that. I took a lot of stuff to my parents place. I don't know if anyone will need it though.
Satakieli: Yup, that was one of our chairs. There was some stuff at the trashside that wasn't ours but still it's ridiculous what you throw away because of a move.
Next move things will definitely go better. I have learned a lot from this very first PCS. 🙂
All those forums or blogs can't really prepare you until you go through it yourself. There is a huge difference between knowing what can happen and actually going through it.

Getting some help from your parents is good for now that you're moving in to different apartments. Just be mindful of your stuff otherwise your parents will want to know why you own a lot of useless materials.
