About Me

Sandra King founded the Von den Sturmfalken kennel with two dogs. One from the legendary Barenfang Kennel, Yukon vom Baerenfang and Nala vom Kassler Kreuz, in 2014.

Raised in Mannheim and Lampertheim, Germany, she grew up among some of the most iconic names among working-line German Shepherd dogs, like, Gildo vom Körbelbach and Olko vom Baerenfang. She spent her childhood socializing her parent’s puppies, among other vital tasks.

Eventually, she took the exceptional foundation she developed in Germany and brought them to Northern New York.

Sandra has been a consummate steward of working-line German Shepherd dogs for her entire life, prioritizing health and stability in every dog. In addition, she is an expert in ancestry tracing, ensuring the genetic integrity of each litter through a mix of extensive personal knowledge and by cross-referencing the most prominent genetic data centers available.

She considers each dog a member of her extended family and builds lasting relationships with owners to conduct “check-ups” throughout a dog’s life. These “check-ups” provide valuable feedback that she can incorporate into her breeding program for future excellence.

Since arriving in the United States, Sandra has been an active advocate and member of the canine breeding and training community.

She founded and currently owns Canine College, a dedicated training facility that offers various programs such as basic puppy classes, AKC Canine Good Citizen, trick dog titles, service dog training as well as sport dog training.
