Yesterday, for the first time, MaDeuce was introduced to Wilderness Area Search Training. I drove out to my friend Simone on Ft.Drum and we went to the Dog Park to work on some Swissies.

Since MaDeuce is quite the Landshark, I showed Simone how to properly tug with MaDeuce, because she’s the one who would reward her.

Once she was comfortable with the game and MaDeuce outed for her, we started working on the Basics. Find – Indication – Refind.

We had to break it down in the beginning but after a couple of repetition she knew exactly what we wanted from her.
